    2013 was a record year for company registrations in West Yorkshire when compared to any year in history.

    A total of 14,194 companies were formed in West Yorkshire in 2013. This total is 8.4% higher than in 2012 and compares equally to the UK figure of a 7.6% growth compared to 491,893 the previous year.
